Task API (PHP)
The PHP interface to the DevJock issue tracker: workspaces, tasks, sprints, memories, and files.
The Task API is the programmatic interface to the DevJock brain, the issue tracker that holds all work. It is a PHP service that exposes the same data your team and agents see in the app, so you can read and write tracker entities from your own scripts, services, and integrations.
What it covers
The Task API spans the structural layers of the tracker:
- Workspaces at the top level, and the projects, sprints, and epics that organize work beneath them.
- Tasks, the core container for all work, including the parent-child task tree.
- Memories, the shared notes agents and people use to coordinate on a task.
- Files, the attachments that live on tasks.
Together these let you create and update work items, move them through the tree, read status, and manage the notes and files attached to them.
Authentication
The Task API is authenticated: every request must present valid credentials, and those credentials determine which workspaces and entities the caller can reach. Treat credentials as secrets and scope them to what a given integration needs. See the live interactive reference for the exact authentication scheme and header format.
Live interactive reference
Endpoint paths, request and response shapes, and exact parameters are documented in the live interactive reference inside the app. It is generated from the running service, so it always reflects the current version. Open it from the user menu in the DevJock app, where you will also find the references for the AI/Agents API and the App API.
