Embedding DevJock

Put a DevJock agent or assistant on your own site or app with the embeddable chat widget.

DevJock ships an embeddable chat widget so the agents and assistants you build can run outside DevJock, directly on your own website, product, or internal tool. Visitors talk to your assistant in a chat panel on your page, and the conversation runs on the same agents, prompts, and models you already configured.

What the widget is

The widget is a small chat surface you drop into a page. It connects back to DevJock, so the agent behind it uses your configured prompt and model, and each conversation becomes a persistent chat session you can review later. That means the same assistant you test inside DevJock is the one your users reach, with no separate copy to maintain.

Typical uses

  • A support or product assistant on a marketing or docs site.
  • An in-app helper embedded in your own dashboard or admin tool.
  • An internal assistant on a team wiki or portal.

Because sessions can carry a customer-facing versus internal context toggle, you can point the same underlying agents at external visitors or at your own team and keep the two contexts separate.

Setting it up

Configuration lives in the Embed area, under the Developer group in the DevJock navigation. That is where you choose which agent or assistant the widget serves and generate the snippet to paste into your page. Follow the values shown there rather than hand-writing embed settings, since the Embed screen reflects your current agents and account.

Test the agent inside a DevJock chat session first. The widget serves the same agent, so getting the prompt and model right in DevJock is the fastest way to get the embedded experience right.
